  • Hair extensions are for anyone who wants to add length, volume, or color to their hair and are completely customizable. Whether you’d like a dramatic change or just a little extra close to your face, they are a great option for most individuals.

Extensions are ideal for people who:

    • Want to add length, volume, or color to their hair. Extensions are a great way to achieve a desired look without having to wait for your hair to grow out or commit to a permanent change.

    • Have fine or thin hair. Extensions can add thickness and fullness to fine or thin hair, creating a more voluminous and glamorous look.

    • Have damaged hair. Extensions can help to protect damaged hair from further damage and breakage. They can also help to blend in damaged hair with healthy hair, creating a more uniform look.

    • Are trying to grow out their hair. Extensions can provide a temporary solution for people who are trying to grow out their hair. They can add length and volume, making hair appear longer and thicker than it actually is!

    • Individuals with scalp conditions: Scalp conditions like eczema or psoriasis can cause sensitivity and irritation. Applying and wearing hair extensions may aggravate these conditions, leading to itching, inflammation, or even hair loss.

    • Individuals who are not willing to commit to the necessary maintenance. Hair extensions require proper care and maintenance to ensure their longevity and prevent damage to your natural hair. If you're not committed to regular upkeep every 8-10 weeks and gentle hair care practices, extensions might not be a suitable choice.

    • Individuals with sensitive or fragile hair: If your hair is naturally fragile or prone to breakage, the added weight and tension from extensions could exacerbate these issues, leading to further hair damage.

    • Individuals with a preference for low-maintenance hairstyles: If you prefer hassle-free hairstyles and don't want to spend extra time on hair care, extensions might not align with your lifestyle. They require additional attention and styling compared to natural hair.

If you fall into any of these categories, it's advisable to consult with a professional hairstylist to discuss your concerns and determine whether hair extensions are a suitable option for you. We can assess your hair type, scalp condition, and lifestyle factors to provide personalized recommendations.

  • The Luna Method is a revolutionary hair extension technique developed by Ashlee Leeper in 2019. It is known for its comfort, speed, and safety. The method uses only 5-20 points of contact for a full head attachment, and it does not require any heat, glue, tape, or end beads. This makes it a great option for people with all hair types, including fine or damaged hair.

The Luna Method is also known for its natural-looking results. The beads are concealed between the wefts, so there are no visible beads or bumps. This allows you to wear your hair up or down without any worries.

  • The Luna Method is done in the following steps:

    1. We will prepare your hair by washing and detangling it. We will then section your hair into small rows.

    2. We will then place a microbead on each section of hair. The bead will be placed about 1 inch from the scalp.

    3. We will then thread a needle with thread and sew the weft of hair extensions to the microbead.

    4. We will continue this process until all of the wefts of extensions have been attached.

Once the extensions are attached, we will trim them to blend them in with your natural hair.

  • How often you need to come in to the salon for extension maintenance depends on a few factors, including the type of extensions you have, your hair type, and how active you are. However, a general rule of thumb is to get your extensions tightened every 8-10 weeks.

If you have fine or thin hair, you may need to come in for maintenance more often than someone with thick hair. This is because fine or thin hair is more prone to breakage, and the extensions can put additional stress on the hair. If you are active, you may also need to come in for maintenance more often. This is because sweat and oil can build up on the extensions, causing them to loosen or slip out.

Here are some signs that you need to come in for extension maintenance:

    • Your extensions are feeling loose or slipping out.

    • Your extensions are tangling or matting more easily than usual.

    • Your extensions are looking dull or dry.

    • You have split ends in your extensions.Your extensions are not blending in with your natural hair as well as they used to.

If you notice any of these signs, it is important to come in to the salon for maintenance as soon as possible. Delaying maintenance can damage your natural hair and shorten the lifespan of your extensions.

  • Here are some tips for extending the lifespan of your hair extensions:

    • Brush your extensions gently and regularly. A good rule of thumb is at least once in the morning and once before bed. Another helpful tip is to purchase a mini wet-brush or tangle teezer for your purse.

    • For sleeping, wear a satin bonnet or use a satin pillow. Always wear your hair in protective braids or a bun for sleeping. When we toss and turn, it could potentially cause matting and tangling.

    • Avoid using heat styling tools on your extensions too often. If you’re going to do so, always use heat protection and use no more than a max of 380º degrees.

    • If you’re swimming in chlorine or saltwater, apply a mask and wear protective braids.

    • Avoid using harsh chemicals on your extensions such as alcohol, sulfates, and parabens. These can be found in drug store shampoos and styling products. These ingredients can strip the hair of its natural oils, leaving it dry and brittle along with your natural hair.

    • And finally, get your extensions tightened regularly.

By following these tips, you can keep your hair extensions looking their best and lasting for as long as possible.

  • 100% yes! Consultations are VITAL to the extension process.

It’s where we’ll determine if you’re a good candidate for extensions by assessing your scalp condition, hair condition, achievable goals and pricing.

My goal is to always care for your scalp health FIRST and foremost, so that not only do you have a comfortable, painless experience while wearing extensions, but that you are able to walk away with your hair in better health than when you started.

I can’t wait to meet you!
